Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited (GAEL) announced on November 11, 2024, that it has received Environmental Clearance (EC) from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of India for the construction of a new ethanol plant. The 180 KLPD (kiloliters per day) Greenfield Grain-Based Extra Neutral Alcohol and Ethanol Plant will be established in Malda, West Bengal, adjacent to its existing Maize Processing Unit.
