GPT Infraprojects Secures ₹481 Cr Contract for Rupnarayan River Railway Bridge

GPT Infraprojects Limited (GPTINFRA), a prominent infrastructure company based in Kolkata, has recently been awarded a significant contract valued at ₹481.11 crore by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Construction, South Eastern Railway, Kolkata. This project involves the construction of Important Bridge No. 57 over the River Rupnarayan for Down and Middle Lines on the Howrah-Kharagpur route in Kharagpur Division.

Project Details:

  • Scope of Work: The project entails the construction of Important Bridge No. 57 over the River Rupnarayan, featuring a combination of Open Web Girders (OWG) and composite girders. The bridge will include:

    • 2 spans of 30.5 meters OWG

    • 7 spans of 91.4 meters OWG

    • 2 spans of 30.5 meters OWG

    • Viaduct approaches comprising 11 spans of 30.5 meters composite girders and 15 spans of 30.5 meters composite girders

    • Construction of Kolaghat Station on Elevated Platform No. 1 & 2 on the diverted alignment

  • Contract Value: ₹481.11 crore.

This project is to be executed on an Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) mode, highlighting GPTINFRA’s expertise in delivering complex infrastructure projects.
