IRCON International Limited has announced the sanctioning of a variation order by the Northeast Frontier Railway for its ongoing contract on the Jiribam–Imphal New Railway Line Project. The revised contract value has increased from ₹144.17 crore to approximately ₹203.61 crore, reflecting an additional ₹59.44 crore.
The variation order pertains to the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of integrated tunnel communication systems and an optical fiber cable (OFC)-based industrial-grade network system. This includes the laying of OFC and other necessary cables for the railway network, covering tunnels and stations in the Jiribam–Khongsang section.
The contract is scheduled for completion by June 30, 2025. IRCON has confirmed that there is no promoter or related party involvement in this transaction.
