National Fertilizers to Invest ₹572.45 Cr in Namrup-IV Ammonia-Urea Plant via Joint Venture

National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), a Government of India undertaking, has announced its decision to enter into a Joint Venture (JV) to establish a new Ammonia-Urea complex, Namrup-IV, in Namrup, Assam. This initiative aligns with the Union Cabinet’s decision dated March 19, 2025, and aims to enhance fertilizer production capacity in the region.

  • JV Formation: NFL will collaborate with other nominated companies to form a new JV entity for the project.

  • Investment: NFL plans to invest approximately ₹572.45 crore, securing an 18% equity stake in the JV.
