Ceigall Infra Wins ₹2,160 Crore NHAI Project for NH 139W in Bihar

In a major boost to road infrastructure in Bihar, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded a significant highway development project to Ceigall Infra Projects Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ceigall India Limited.

The project focuses on the four-laning of NH 139W, specifically covering the Sahebganj–Areraj–Bettiah section. This development is expected to enhance regional connectivity, improve traffic flow, and support economic growth in the region.


📍 Project Overview

The total length of the highway project is 78.942 kilometers, divided into two major sections:

  • Section 1: Sahebganj to Areraj – 38.362 km

  • Section 2: Areraj to Bettiah – 40.580 km

Once completed, the upgraded four-lane highway will significantly reduce travel time and improve road safety for commuters and commercial vehicles alike.


💰 Project Cost and Execution Model

The contract has been awarded under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), a popular public-private partnership model used in highway projects across India.

  • Bid Project Cost: ₹2,160 Crores

Under HAM, the government and the private developer share the project cost and associated risks, ensuring financial viability while maintaining quality standards.


⏳ Timeline and Maintenance

The project comes with a structured timeline:

  • Construction Period: 730 days (approximately 2 years)

  • Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Period: 15 years

After construction, Ceigall Infra will be responsible for maintaining the highway for 15 years, ensuring long-term durability and service quality.


📅 Official Award and Regulatory Disclosure

Ceigall Infra received the Letter of Award (LOA) for the project on February 11, 2026.

As a listed entity, the company has officially disclosed the contract details to the BSE and NSE, in compliance with the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations.

The four-laning of NH 139W is expected to:
