Oriana Power Expands Large-Scale Solar Footprint with 50 MW Project in Kerala

Oriana Power Limited has marked a significant milestone in its growth journey by securing a 50 MW (AC) Grid Interactive Solar PV Power Project in Kerala. The project has been awarded by a domestic renewable energy developer and strengthens Oriana Power’s position in the utility-scale solar EPC segment.

This development reflects the company’s increasing participation in large, grid-connected renewable energy projects aligned with India’s clean energy ambitions.

Project Scope and Technical Highlights

The Kerala-based project will deploy Solar Photovoltaic (PV) technology and will be directly connected to the state electricity grid, enabling seamless power evacuation and integration.

Oriana Power’s scope of work covers the entire EPC lifecycle, including:

  • Detailed engineering and system design for the 50 MW solar capacity

  • Execution of all civil and electrical works, including plant installation and erection

  • Factory-level testing of key components prior to dispatch

  • Final commissioning and performance demonstration, ensuring the plant meets agreed output benchmarks before commercial handover

This end-to-end responsibility underscores Oriana Power’s technical capabilities in delivering large-scale solar infrastructure.

Commercial Structure of the Project

The total contract value for the project stands at ₹186.36 crore (excluding GST). The commercial arrangement is structured through:

  • A dedicated agreement for the supply of solar modules and critical equipment

  • A Strategic Alliance & Support Agreement covering allied services related to the supplied components

This structure enables efficient execution while maintaining quality and performance standards.

Timeline and Strategic Importance

The project is targeted for completion and commissioning within FY 2026–27. Beyond its commercial value, the project represents a strategic expansion for Oriana Power in the large-scale EPC space and contributes to India’s broader renewable energy transition.

The company will also be responsible for securing all necessary statutory approvals, permits, and licenses, ensuring full regulatory compliance for grid-connected power generation.
