Subros Bags ₹52 Crore Maintenance Order from Indian Railways, Boosts FY Orders to ₹86 Crore

Subros Limited, India’s leading manufacturer of automotive thermal products, has secured a new Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (CAMC) from Indian Railways for Cab HVAC Units. Valued at approximately ₹52.18 crore (₹44.22 crore + ₹7.96 crore GST), the order from Banaras Locomotive Works, Varanasi, will be executed over three years. This marks Subros’ expansion into railway service contracts, complementing its existing supply of Rail Driver Cabin and Coach Air-Conditioning Systems. With this win, the company’s cumulative railway orders for the current financial year reach ₹86.35 crore (including supplies and maintenance). The announcement was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

Order Highlights: Venturing into Services

Subros, a joint venture with the Suri family, DENSO Corporation, and Suzuki Motor Corporation since 1985, is the only integrated unit in India for Auto Air Conditioning systems. The new contract involves:

  • Scope: Annual maintenance of Cab HVAC Units for locomotives.
  • Timeline: Three years, starting post-tender conclusion.
  • Nature: Independent transaction with no promoter or group company involvement.
  • Strategic Fit: Builds on a prior ₹27 crore order in October 2025, positioning Subros as a key player in India’s rail modernization.

This foray into services enhances Subros’ railway segment, where it already supplies AC systems across passenger vehicles, buses, trucks, and refrigeration transport.
