Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions Limited (TBWES), a wholly owned subsidiary of Thermax Limited, has secured a major international contract worth over ₹580 crore from Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Free Zone Enterprise, part of the leading West African conglomerate, Dangote Industries.
The order is for four 400 TPH oil & gas-fired bi-drum utility boilers along with associated systems, to be installed at Dangote’s large refinery and petrochemical complex in Nigeria. The project will be executed over a 22-month timeline.
Thermax’s scope includes design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, supply of plug-and-play modules, and supervision of construction and commissioning. This order strengthens Thermax’s long-standing relationship with Dangote, building on a previously awarded US$157 million contract in 2017.
The project underscores Dangote’s push for energy independence in Africa and highlights Thermax’s global engineering expertise.
