January 18, 2025 – TD Power Systems Limited (TDPS) has received a prestigious order worth ₹57 Crores (inclusive of ₹9 Crores GST) from the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL). The contract involves the supply of advanced induction motors for NPCIL’s Kudankulam nuclear power plant.

Key Highlights of the Order

    The low-speed induction motors will replace high-speed imported motors currently operating with reduction gearboxes. Designed to meet stringent requirements, the motors feature:

    • Compliance with specific weight constraints.
    • Seismic resistance.
    • Titanium tube heat exchangers for enhanced durability.
    • Customization to align with existing base frames and coupling requirements.
  • Project Timeline:
    The motors are scheduled for delivery, erection, and commissioning during FY 2025-26 and 2026-27.
