Under the contract, Kernex Microsystems will be responsible for the complete execution of the project, including:
- Supply of On-board KAVACH equipment
- Installation of the system
- Interfacing with trainset electrical systems
- Testing and commissioning
- Integration in accordance with Indian Railways’ technical requirements
The KAVACH system has been developed to improve train safety by automatically preventing collisions, overspeeding, and signal passing at danger (SPAD). It complies with RDSO Specification No. RDSO/SPN/196/2020, the standard established by Indian Railways for Automatic Train Protection systems.
