IndusInd Bank Reports 71% Surge in Q1 FY27 Net Profit; Asset Quality and Capital Position Strengthen

IndusInd Bank Limited has reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, posting a sharp 71% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit while continuing to strengthen its balance sheet, improve asset quality, and maintain healthy capital levels.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, the bank’s consolidated net profit rose to ₹1,037 crore, compared with ₹604 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The robust earnings growth reflects improved operating performance, disciplined execution, and a continued focus on balance sheet resilience.

Strong Earnings Performance in Q1 FY27

IndusInd Bank reported Net Interest Income (NII) of ₹4,685 crore during the quarter, compared with ₹4,640 crore in Q1 FY26. The bank also expanded its Net Interest Margin (NIM) to 3.57%, up from 3.46% a year earlier, supported by better asset-liability management and a quality lending portfolio.

The improved profitability highlights the bank’s ability to deliver stable earnings despite evolving market conditions.

Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights

The bank reported healthy growth across key financial parameters:

  • Consolidated Net Profit: ₹1,037 crore, up 71% YoY
  • Net Interest Income (NII): ₹4,685 crore
  • Net Interest Margin (NIM): 3.57%
  • Gross NPA: 3.25%, improved from 3.64%
  • Net NPA: 0.95%, down from 1.12%
  • Total Deposits: ₹4,14,766 crore, compared with ₹3,97,144 crore
  • Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR): 17.15% under Basel III norms

Asset Quality Continues to Improve

IndusInd Bank continued to strengthen its asset quality during the quarter.

As of June 30, 2026, the bank’s Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPA) declined to 3.25%, while Net Non-Performing Assets (NNPA) improved to 0.95%, reflecting prudent risk management and effective recovery efforts.

The Provision Coverage Ratio (PCR) also improved to 71.42%, providing an additional cushion against potential credit risks.

Deposit Franchise Remains Healthy

The bank maintained steady growth in its deposit base, with total deposits increasing to ₹4,14,766 crore.

Its Current Account and Savings Account (CASA) deposits accounted for 29.43% of total deposits, highlighting the strength of its retail banking franchise and stable funding profile.

The bank also maintained a comfortable Capital Adequacy Ratio of 17.15%, well above regulatory requirements, providing sufficient capital to support future business growth.

Commenting on the quarterly performance, Mr. Rajiv Anand, Managing Director & CEO of IndusInd Bank, said the bank continued to execute its strategic priorities during Q1 FY27 with a strong emphasis on disciplined growth, balance sheet resilience, and franchise quality.

He added that, supported by an experienced leadership team and enhanced execution capabilities, the bank remains well-positioned to deliver sustainable long-term performance.
