Adani Power Limited Shines in Q1 FY27 with Robust ₹4,867 Cr PAT & 17% Dispatch Growth

July 23, 2026: Adani Power Limited delivered a strong start to FY27, reporting robust growth in both operational and financial performance during the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. According to the company’s investor presentation released ahead of its earnings conference call, improved plant efficiency, higher power dispatch, and an increasing share of contracted power sales contributed to a significant rise in revenue and profitability.

The company’s consistent operational execution and disciplined commercial strategy enabled it to capitalize on strong electricity demand while maintaining high plant availability across its generating assets.

Operational Performance Improves Across Key Metrics

Adani Power continued to enhance the efficiency of its power generation fleet during the quarter.

Higher Plant Availability

Operations and Maintenance (O&M) availability improved to 96% in Q1 FY27, compared with 89% in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The improvement reflects better asset utilization and higher operational reliability across the company’s power plants.

Plant Load Factor Reaches 78%

The company’s Plant Load Factor (PLF) increased to 78%, up from 67% in Q1 FY26, indicating stronger demand and improved utilization of generation capacity.

Dispatch Rises 17%

Power dispatch during the quarter grew 17% year-on-year to 28.8 Billion Units (BU) from 24.6 BU in Q1 FY26. The higher dispatch volumes supported both revenue growth and improved profitability.

Larger Share of Contracted Power Sales

Adani Power further strengthened the quality of its revenue by increasing the proportion of electricity sold under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

  • 85% of total power sales were under PPAs in Q1 FY27
  • Compared with 77% in Q1 FY26

A higher contracted sales mix reduces exposure to merchant power market price volatility and provides greater earnings visibility.

Financial Performance Highlights

Strong operational execution translated into healthy financial growth across all major performance indicators.

Revenue Growth

Revenue from continuing operations increased to ₹17,936 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with ₹14,167 crore in the year-ago quarter, driven primarily by higher generation and dispatch volumes.

EBITDA Expands

Continuing EBITDA rose to ₹6,983 crore, up from ₹5,744 crore in Q1 FY26, reflecting improved operating leverage and strong cost management.

Profit After Tax Surges

The company reported a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹4,867 crore, representing a significant increase from ₹3,305 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The sharp improvement in profitability highlights Adani Power’s ability to convert operational gains into stronger shareholder returns.
