CG Power and Industrial Solutions Reports Strong Q1 FY27: Standalone PAT Rises 27% to ₹364 Crore
Record-Breaking Q1 FY27 Performance
CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited announced its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), delivering robust operational momentum and profitable growth. On a standalone basis, the company posted its highest-ever Q1 sales and profit before tax (excluding exceptional items) in recent times, supported by healthy demand across core business verticals.
Key Standalone Financial Highlights
- Net Sales: Increased 16% YoY to ₹3,061 crore compared to ₹2,643 crore in Q1 FY26.
- Profit After Tax (PAT): Grew 27% YoY to ₹364 crore (11.9% of sales) versus ₹286 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
- EBITDA: Rose 27% YoY to ₹518 crore, with EBITDA margins improving to 16.9% from 15.4% in Q1 FY26.
- Profit Before Tax (PBT): Advanced 27% YoY to ₹487 crore compared to ₹383 crore in Q1 FY26.
- Return on Capital Employed (RACE): Annualized RACE for the quarter stood at 23%.
Segment-Wise Performance
- Power Systems: Sales surged 31% YoY to ₹1,402 crore. Segment BIT surged 44% YoY to ₹324 crore (23.1% of sales), reflecting disciplined execution and strong operating leverage.
- Industrial Systems: Aggregate sales reached ₹1,671 crore, up 6% YoY, driven by double-digit order growth in motors. Segment BIT stood at ₹148 crore, impacted by a one-off provision of ₹20 crore in the Railways business.
Consolidated Growth and Robust Order Book
On a consolidated basis, CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited recorded aggregate sales of ₹3,281 crore (up 14% YoY) and net profit of ₹308 crore (up 16% YoY). Consolidation margins were impacted by ongoing investments in talent for semiconductor businesses totaling ₹43 crore.
Order intake remained solid, with standalone order intake at ₹4,692 crore during Q1 FY27. The standalone unexecuted order backlog surged 45% YoY to ₹17,333 crore, while the consolidated order backlog expanded to ₹18,965 crore, providing strong multi-quarter revenue visibility.
