Welspun Corp Reports Record Q1 FY27 Performance; PAT Jumps to ₹1,046 Crore, EBITDA Hits All-Time High
Welspun Corp Limited, the flagship company of the Welspun World group and one of the world’s leading manufacturers of line pipes, has reported a strong financial performance for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). The company delivered its highest-ever quarterly EBITDA, supported by robust operational execution, healthy demand, and continued expansion across key international markets.
Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights
Welspun Corp posted strong growth across key financial metrics during the first quarter of FY27.
- Net Profit (PAT): Increased to ₹1,046 crore, nearly three times higher than the corresponding quarter last year.
- PAT (Excluding Exceptional Items): Rose 42% year-on-year to ₹499 crore.
- EBITDA: Reached a record ₹756 crore, registering 35% year-on-year growth.
- Return on Capital Employed (ROCE): Improved to 23.1%, reflecting efficient capital utilization.
- Global Order Book: Stood at approximately ₹24,750 crore, providing strong revenue visibility for the coming years.
- Net Cash Position: Increased to ₹2,336 crore, despite capital expenditure of ₹834 crore during the quarter.
Strong Order Book Supports Future Growth
The company’s robust order book of around ₹24,750 crore provides healthy medium- and long-term revenue visibility. Continued order inflows from domestic and international markets reinforce Welspun Corp’s strong position in the global line pipe industry.
Expansion Projects Progressing as Planned
Welspun Corp stated that its strategic expansion projects in the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) are progressing according to schedule and are expected to be commissioned during FY27.
The company’s associate, East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry (EPIC) in Saudi Arabia, also delivered double-digit growth in both revenue and profitability during the quarter, contributing positively to the group’s international business.
Demand Outlook Remains Strong
Management highlighted a positive demand outlook across its major markets.
United States
Demand continues to be supported by:
- Expansion of LNG export infrastructure
- Growth in data center-related power infrastructure
- New oil pipeline projects
India
Domestic demand remains strong, driven by large-scale government infrastructure initiatives, including:
- National Gas Grid expansion
- City Gas Distribution (CGD) projects
- Jal Jeevan Mission
These projects are expected to sustain demand for line pipes over the coming years.
