Bank of India Q1 FY27 Results: Net Profit Rises 19.75%, Global Business Crosses ₹17.55 Lakh Crore

Public sector lender Bank of India (BOI) has released its investor presentation for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), reporting strong growth across key financial and operational metrics. Backed by healthy credit expansion, robust deposit mobilization, and continued improvement in asset quality, the bank’s total global business surpassed ₹17.55 lakh crore during the quarter.

Key Financial Highlights

Bank of India delivered solid year-on-year (YoY) growth across its core business segments during Q1 FY27.

  • Net Profit: Increased 19.75% YoY
  • Total Global Business: Rose 16.57% YoY to ₹17,55,699 crore, compared with ₹15,06,142 crore in Q1 FY26
  • Global Deposits: Grew 14.90% YoY to ₹9,57,924 crore
  • Global Gross Advances: Increased 18.64% YoY to ₹7,97,775 crore

The strong growth in deposits and advances reflects sustained customer confidence and healthy credit demand across business segments.

Asset Quality Continues to Improve

Bank of India further strengthened its balance sheet during the quarter with continued improvement in asset quality.

  • Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPA): Declined by 111 basis points (bps) year-on-year
  • Net Non-Performing Assets (NNPA): Improved by 24 bps YoY
  • Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR): Increased by 130 bps, providing additional capital strength to support future business growth.

The improvement in asset quality highlights the bank’s continued focus on prudent lending practices and effective recovery mechanisms.

Strong Growth in Retail, Agriculture and MSME (RAM) Portfolio

The bank’s Retail, Agriculture, and MSME (RAM) portfolio remained a key growth driver during the quarter.

Total RAM advances grew 19.75% YoY to ₹3,92,833 crore, accounting for 58.30% of total domestic advances.

Retail Advances

Retail advances increased 20.60% YoY to ₹1,66,170 crore, supported by robust demand across major lending products.

  • Home Loans: Up 17% YoY
  • Mortgage Loans: Surged 51% YoY

MSME Advances

Advances to the MSME sector grew 19.34% YoY to ₹1,15,782 crore, reflecting the bank’s continued focus on supporting small and medium enterprises.

Agriculture Advances

Agriculture advances rose 18.92% YoY to ₹1,10,881 crore, driven by increased lending to the rural and agricultural sectors.

Corporate Advances

Corporate advances registered healthy growth of 18.44% YoY, reaching ₹2,81,000 crore during the quarter.

Bank of India continues to maintain a strong capital position while improving asset quality and expanding its lending portfolio. The bank also remains comfortably above the prescribed priority sector lending targets, positioning it well to capitalize on future credit demand.
