Capri Global Capital Q1 FY27 Results: Net Profit Doubles, AUM Crosses ₹40,000 Crore Milestone
Capri Global Capital Limited has released its revised investor presentation for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), reporting a strong financial performance driven by rapid expansion in its retail lending portfolio, higher net interest income, and improved asset quality.
The NBFC delivered 102% year-on-year (YoY) growth in Profit After Tax (PAT) while its consolidated Assets Under Management (AUM) crossed the significant milestone of ₹40,000 crore, reflecting sustained business momentum across key lending segments.
Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights
Capri Global Capital posted broad-based growth across its core financial metrics during the first quarter of FY27.
- Profit After Tax (PAT): Increased 102% YoY to ₹353.4 crore, compared with ₹174.9 crore in Q1 FY26.
- Net Interest Income (NII): Rose 79% YoY to ₹736.4 crore, up from ₹412.5 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
- Assets Under Management (AUM): Expanded 62% YoY to ₹40,111.6 crore, compared to ₹24,753.8 crore in Q1 FY26.
- Return on Average Equity (RoAE): Improved by 612 basis points to 19.1%.
- Return on Average Assets (RoAA): Increased by 91 basis points to 4.1%.
- Net Non-Performing Assets (Net NPA): Improved to 0.6%, compared with 1.0% a year earlier, reflecting continued focus on maintaining high asset quality.
Retail Lending Drives Strong AUM Growth
The company’s retail-focused lending strategy continued to deliver robust growth across its major business segments.
Gold Loans
The Gold Loan portfolio emerged as the fastest-growing segment during the quarter.
- Gold Loan AUM: Increased to ₹19,178.6 crore, compared with ₹9,104.9 crore in Q1 FY26.
The strong growth was supported by an expanding customer base, higher live account additions, and improved branch productivity across the company’s distribution network.
Housing Finance
The Housing Finance business also maintained healthy growth momentum.
- Housing Finance AUM: Rose to ₹7,815.3 crore, compared with ₹5,490.3 crore in the year-ago period.
Demand from affordable and retail housing borrowers continued to support portfolio expansion.
MSME Lending
Capri Global’s MSME lending franchise recorded steady growth during the quarter.
- MSME AUM: Increased to ₹6,779.1 crore, up from ₹5,477.9 crore in Q1 FY26.
The segment benefited from sustained credit demand among small and medium-sized businesses across the company’s core operating markets.
Focus on Capital-Efficient Growth
Capri Global continues to execute a capital-efficient business model by leveraging its co-lending partnerships and direct assignment framework. These strategies enable the company to accelerate loan growth while optimizing capital utilization and maintaining a diversified funding profile.
The company has also continued to strengthen its underwriting standards and risk management framework, resulting in improved asset quality despite rapid expansion in its loan book.
