Kajaria Ceramics Q1 FY27 Results: Net Profit Surges 56%, Approves Rajasthan Capacity Expansion and Green Energy Investment
Kajaria Ceramics Limited reported a strong set of financial results for the first quarter of FY2026-27 (Q1 FY27), posting robust growth in revenue and profitability while announcing significant expansion and sustainability initiatives.
The company’s Board of Directors approved the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, at its meeting held on July 31, 2026. Alongside the earnings announcement, the Board also approved a ₹165 crore brownfield expansion at its Rajasthan manufacturing facility and a renewable energy investment to support greener operations.
The strong quarterly performance was driven by healthy demand for ceramic and vitrified tiles, improved operating efficiency, and continued growth across the company’s core businesses.
Key Financial Highlights for Q1 FY27
- Consolidated Revenue: Reached ₹1,328.08 crore, registering a 20% year-on-year growth compared to ₹1,104.33 crore recorded in Q1 FY26.
- Profit After Tax (PAT): Surged 55.5% to ₹169.46 crore, up from ₹108.98 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
- Profit Before Tax (PBT): Stood at ₹230.23 crore, compared to ₹149.02 crore in Q1 FY26.
- EBITDA & Margins: EBITDA increased to ₹260.33 crore from ₹184.63 crore YoY, with EBITDA margins expanding to 19.60% compared to 16.72% in Q1 FY26.
- Tile Sales Volume: Total tile volume grew 6% YoY to 28.80 million square meters (MSM), up from 27.18 MSM in Q1 FY26 despite a sluggish April.
Capacity Expansion and Corporate Capital Actions
- Jaipur Manufacturing Facility Expansion: In addition to the ongoing 10 MSM brownfield expansion at Srikalahasti, the Board has decided to add a new 11 MSM manufacturing line at the Jaipur (Rajasthan) facility to deliver cost-effective, high-quality products.
- Completed Equity Buyback: Bavaria Ceramics Limited completed a buyback of 21,50,000 equity shares (representing 1.35% of the paid-up equity capital) at a price of ₹1,380 per share, aggregating to ₹296.70 crore.
