Tata Motors July 2026 Sales Surge 37% YoY to 39,641 Units Driven by Export Demand
Tata Motors Limited has released its monthly sales performance numbers for July 2026, delivering a robust year-on-year (YoY) growth across key commercial vehicle categories. The company recorded total sales of 39,641 units in July 2026 across domestic and international markets, marking a 37% jump compared to 28,956 units sold during the corresponding period last year.
Key Sales Breakdown for July 2026
Growth was witnessed across all major commercial vehicle segments, with Small Commercial Vehicles (SCV) and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV) registering healthy demand:
- HCV Trucks: Stood at 8,973 units in July 2026 versus 6,735 units in July 2025, up 33% YoY.
- ILM CV Trucks: Led 6,100 units compared to 5,068 units in the year-ago period, reflecting a 20% YoY increase.
- Passenger Carriers: Clocked 5,938 units against 4,749 units in July 2025, growing 25% YoY.
- SCV Cargo & Pickup: Reached 12,865 units compared to 9,880 units last year, expanding 30% YoY.
Domestic vs. International Business
Domestic commercial vehicle sales for Tata Motors Limited reached 33,876 units in July 2026, up 28% from 26,432 units sold in July 2025. Meanwhile, the company’s international business posted an extraordinary surge, rising 128% YoY to 5,765 units compared to 2,524 units in July 2025.
In the Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicles (WHICH) category, combined domestic and export volume stood at 16,364 units in July 2026 versus 13,669 units in July 2025, registering a 20% growth. Domestic WHICH sales alone grew 25% YoY to 15,435 units compared to 12,378 units in the same month last year.
