Ather Energy Surges as Investors Cheer Q1 FY27 Turnaround
Ather Energy Limited reported strong growth in the first quarter of FY27, driven by higher electric scooter sales and improved business performance. The company also announced ESOP allotments and grants for employees while continuing to invest in its long-term growth plans.
Ather Energy Reports Strong Revenue Growth
For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Ather Energy reported:
- Revenue from operations: ₹1,216.92 crore
- Total income: ₹1,259.65 crore
- Net loss: ₹51.09 crore
The company’s revenue increased sharply compared to ₹644.58 crore in the same quarter last year, reflecting strong demand for its electric vehicles.
Ather also significantly reduced its net loss from ₹178.23 crore in Q1 FY26 to ₹51.09 crore in Q1 FY27, showing a major improvement in profitability.

Board Approves ESOP Allotment
The Board approved the allotment of 3,67,875 equity shares to employees who exercised their stock options under the Ather Energy ESOP 2025 Plan.
The company also granted 80,223 new employee stock options (ESOPs) to eligible employees to reward and retain talent.
Expansion Plans Continue
Ather is continuing to strengthen its business with several strategic initiatives.
New Insurance Business
During the quarter, the company incorporated Ather Insurance Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary. The new business will operate as a corporate insurance agent after receiving approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
The subsidiary aims to offer insurance products to Ather customers, improve customer experience, and create an additional source of recurring revenue.
International Expansion
Ather is also setting up a wholly owned subsidiary in Hong Kong to strengthen procurement operations and improve supply chain resilience across the Asia-Pacific region.
Fund Raising After the Quarter
After the June quarter ended, Ather completed a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) worth ₹1,300 crore.
In addition, the company’s board approved another fundraising plan of up to ₹1,200 crore through a combination of equity shares and convertible warrants, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.
