United Food brands Q1 FY27 Revenue Jumps 43% to ₹425.9 Crore; Operating EBITDA Surges 2.5x (Investor Presentation)

United Foodbrands Limited (formerly Barbeque-Nation Hospitality Limited) reported a strong start to FY27, delivering robust revenue growth, improved profitability, and continued expansion of its restaurant network. The company’s Q1 FY27 earnings highlight strong customer demand, higher dine-in traffic, and successful digital initiatives.

Revenue Grows 43.4% Year-on-Year

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, United Foodbrands reported revenue from operations of ₹4,259 million, representing a 43.4% year-on-year growth. The company also recorded a 28.7% same-store sales growth (SSSG), reflecting healthy demand across its restaurant brands.

The strong performance was supported by a 63.5% increase in dine-in volumes, while delivery revenue grew 61.9% compared to the same quarter last year.

Profitability Improves Significantly

United Foodbrands posted a sharp improvement in profitability during the quarter.

  • Gross Profit increased to ₹2,801 million, up 39.4% YoY.
  • Restaurant Operating Profit (Pre IND-AS) grew 81.6% to ₹621 million.
  • Adjusted Operating EBITDA more than doubled, rising 152.3% to ₹343 million.
  • Adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 8.1%, compared with 4.6% in Q1 FY26.

The company also returned to profitability by reporting a Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹23 million, compared to a loss of ₹167 million in the corresponding quarter last year.

Strong Performance Across Business Segments

All three business segments delivered healthy growth during the quarter.

  • Barbeque Nation India recorded 43.4% revenue growth with same-store sales growth of 33.5%.
  • Barbeque Nation International reported 46.6% revenue growth, despite inflationary pressures in the Middle East.
  • Premium Casual Dining Restaurants (Premium CDR) delivered 36.2% revenue growth with stable operating performance.

Restaurant Expansion Continues

United Foodbrands continued expanding its presence during Q1 FY27.

The company opened 5 new restaurants during the quarter, taking its total network to 266 restaurants across India and international markets.

Management stated that another 15 restaurants are currently under construction and are expected to become operational during Q2 and Q3 FY27.

The company remains on track to expand its network to more than 300 restaurants by FY27 and has a long-term target of 400–425 restaurants by FY30.

Digital Channels Drive Customer Growth

Digital engagement remained a key growth driver during the quarter.

More than 65% of Barbeque Nation India’s dine-in transactions were completed through the company’s own digital platforms. The company also reported approximately 1.4 million monthly active users, highlighting growing customer engagement through its digital ecosystem.
