Repro India Limited has started FY27 on a strong note by reporting its highest-ever quarterly revenue. The company generated ₹141 crore in revenue during Q1 FY27, representing a 20% year-on-year growth, driven mainly by its expanding digital publishing platform and technology-led business model.

Record Quarterly Performance

The company achieved several important milestones during the quarter:

  • Revenue reached ₹141 crore, the highest quarterly revenue in Repro India’s history.
  • Revenue was slightly higher than Q4 FY26, and the company expects Q2 FY27 to perform even better, indicating a more stable and less seasonal business.
  • Gross margins remained healthy at 44.5% despite continued investments in technology.
  • EBITDA improved to ₹5.3 crore, compared to a loss in the same quarter last year.
  • Net Profit : 128 crore
  • Repro also reported an exceptional gain of around ₹167 crore from the sale of its Mahape land.
  • The company is now debt-free with a cash surplus of ₹70 crore.

Digital Business Continues to Grow

Repro’s digital business remains its biggest growth engine.

During Q1 FY27:

  • Digital business revenue increased 11% year-on-year to ₹104 crore.
  • The platform business grew 24% to ₹74 crore, reaching an annualised revenue run rate of around ₹300 crore.
  • Over the last four years, platform revenue has increased nearly three times.

The company expects this business to continue growing as publishers increasingly use online marketplaces and print-on-demand services.

Technology Is Transforming the Publishing Business

Repro has spent the past five years building a technology-driven publishing ecosystem.

Today, the company offers:

  • AI-assisted content onboarding
  • Automated pricing systems
  • Marketplace intelligence
  • Demand forecasting
  • Print-on-demand solutions
  • Integrated publisher distribution

These technologies help publishers reach readers more efficiently while reducing inventory and logistics costs.

Strong Partnerships with Major Online Platforms

  • Amazon India
  • Flipkart
  • Amazon US
  • Amazon UAE
  • Bookscape

  • Digital books printed per day reached 43,636.

The company believes India has nearly 5,000 publishers that can benefit from its digital distribution platform.

Improving Supply Chain with Technology

Key initiatives include:

  • Mini Print-on-Demand (Micro POD) facilities across India.
  • Warehouse integration that allows publisher warehouses to function as fulfilment centres without Repro holding inventory.
  • Faster deliveries and lower logistics costs by placing production closer to customers.

The first Micro POD facility has already been established in Bengaluru to serve South India.
