Clean Science and Technology Posts Record Q1 FY27 Sales of Rs 264 Cr

Clean Science and Technology Limited Announced its earnings update for the first quarter of FY27, delivering its highest-ever quarterly consolidated revenue of approximately ₹264 crore. Despite macro-headwinds including elevated freight costs, vessel unavailability, and supply chain disruptions impacting export schedules, the specialty chemical manufacturer delivered a steady operational performance.

Key Financial Highlights

  • Consolidated Revenue: Reached ₹264 crore, marking a growth of 10% year-on-year (YoY) and 7% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).
  • Consolidated Profitability: EBITDA stood at ₹96 crore (37% margin), while Profit After Tax (PAT) reached ₹73 crore (28% margin).
  • Standalone Performance: Revenue grew 5% sequentially to ₹203 crore. Standalone EBITDA reached ₹87 crore (43% margin) and PAT stood at ₹73 crore (36% margin).
  • Segment Revenue Mix: Performance Chemicals contributed 83% to sales, followed by Pharma Chemicals at 10% and FMCG at 7%.

HALS Growth & Portfolio Diversification

The company’s strategic focus on scaling its Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers (HALS) portfolio continues to drive sustainable operational leverage. HALS now accounts for 22% of total consolidated sales. In a shift from its initial domestic focus, international markets now drive nearly 50% of HALS sales. Furthermore, Clean Science has successfully derisked its portfolio, reducing revenue reliance on its top four legacy products from 85% in Q4 FY23 to 60% this quarter.

Subsidiary Turning Operational and Strategic Alliance

In another major update, Clean Science’s subsidiary, Clean Fino Chem Limited (CFCL), crossed a key benchmark by becoming operationally self-sustaining after fully recovering its operating expenses, allowing the firm to transition from investment mode to monetization mode. Additionally, the company formed a strategic partnership with Swiss partner Genus Chem to collaborate on advanced, technology-intensive HALS chemistry grades for global customers.
