Diamond Power Infrastructure Bags ₹52.86 Crore Cable Order for Hyderabad Hyperscale Data Centre
Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (NSE: DIACABS, BSE: 522163) has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Aurionpro Solutions Limited for the supply of high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) electrical cables to a hyperscale data centre campus in Hyderabad. The order is valued at approximately ₹52.86 crore, including GST, and represents another significant opportunity for Diamond Power Infrastructure in India’s rapidly expanding data centre infrastructure market.
₹52.86 Crore Order from Aurionpro Solutions
According to the company’s regulatory disclosure dated August 22, 2026, the LOI has been placed by Aurionpro Solutions for the HYD-20 package of a hyperscale data centre campus in Hyderabad, where Aurionpro is the appointed EPC contractor. The order covers the supply of HT and LT electrical cables, with supplies scheduled to begin immediately and to be delivered in a staggered manner according to the construction programme at the site.
The order is a domestic contract and has been received in the ordinary course of business on an arm’s-length basis. Diamond Power Infrastructure stated that neither the promoter group nor its group companies have any interest in Aurionpro Solutions and that the transaction does not constitute a related-party transaction.
Around 130 Kilometres of Electrical Cables
The order involves approximately 130 kilometres of cables, making it a sizeable cable-supply contract. More than 116 kilometres of the order comprises 1,100V grade, XLPE-insulated and FRLS-sheathed 1C x 300 sq mm copper conductor cables.
These copper cables are intended to form part of the backbone electrical distribution system serving high-density server halls at the hyperscale data centre.
The remaining scope includes 33 kV (E) grade aluminium XLPE armoured FRLS cables, 1.1 kV aluminium armoured LT power cables and copper control cables. The cables are being manufactured according to the customer’s specifications, including IEC 61914 cleat and fire-performance requirements.
New Copper Cable Manufacturing Capacity Supports the Order
A key feature of the contract is its connection with Diamond Power Infrastructure’s recently commissioned copper wire drawing and copper cable manufacturing line. According to the company, the new facility has a production capacity of 1,500 MT of copper cables per month.
The company says the facility was established to address high-intensity power applications such as data centres and power plants. The Hyderabad order therefore represents an important application of the company’s new copper-cable manufacturing capability, complementing its established aluminium cable and conductor business.
Data Centre Order Book Crosses ₹575 Crore
Diamond Power Infrastructure’s management highlighted the growing importance of the data centre segment for the company. In the press release, Whole-time Director Umesh Chayya said the latest order validates the company’s investment in copper capability and its ability to meet delivery schedules linked to data centre construction programmes.
The company also stated that its current data centre order book exceeds ₹575 crore and that it intends to target the segment aggressively. This positions data centre infrastructure as an increasingly important growth opportunity for Diamond Power Infrastructure.
Data Centres Emerging as a Major Growth Market
The company believes India’s data centre expansion is creating significant demand for specialised electrical infrastructure, including high-quality power cables. Hyperscale facilities require substantial and reliable electrical distribution systems because of the high power requirements of data servers and associated infrastructure.
Diamond Power Infrastructure is seeking to participate in this expansion through its copper cable manufacturing capabilities and its existing portfolio of EHV, HV, MV and LV power cables.
Order Execution to Begin Immediately
The supplies under the ₹52.86 crore LOI are scheduled to commence immediately and will be delivered on a staggered basis in line with the construction programme of the Hyderabad campus. Deliveries are planned on a DAP Hyderabad basis.
The contract is based on a price-variation mechanism under the IEEMA formula, using April 2026 base indices. The company has also clarified that final realisation will depend on the applicable price-variation formula and final quantities based on site surveys and customer approvals.
Diamond Power Infrastructure’s Manufacturing Footprint
Diamond Power Infrastructure operates an integrated manufacturing complex spread across approximately 130 acres at Vadodara, Gujarat. The company manufactures EHV, HV, MV and LV power cables, control and instrumentation cables, as well as aluminium and alloy conductors.
Its manufacturing capabilities include in-house aluminium rod mills and a copper wire drawing line. The company also has captive wind power and serves transmission utilities, distribution companies, EPC contractors and industrial and infrastructure customers across India and overseas.
The latest order is strategically important beyond its ₹52.86 crore value because it strengthens Diamond Power Infrastructure’s presence in the hyperscale data centre segment. The contract also provides an opportunity to utilise the company’s recently commissioned copper cable manufacturing capacity.
With the company stating that its data centre-related order book has already exceeded ₹575 crore, investors will be watching the pace of additional orders, execution of existing contracts and utilisation of the new copper manufacturing line.
The company’s focus on data centres comes as the power requirements of India’s digital infrastructure continue to create opportunities for specialised electrical equipment and cable manufacturers.
The ₹52.86 crore LOI adds to Diamond Power Infrastructure’s growing exposure to India’s data centre infrastructure build-out. More importantly, the order demonstrates the company’s ability to deploy its newly commissioned copper cable manufacturing capability in a hyperscale data centre project.
With the company targeting the data centre segment aggressively and reporting a data centre order book of more than ₹575 crore, further order wins and successful execution will be key factors to watch. The company’s future performance will also depend on project execution, final quantities, price variations, customer approvals and the broader pace of data centre infrastructure development.
