UltraTech Cement to Acquire Wonder WallCare for ₹235 Crore to Boost Wall Putty Business

UltraTech Cement to Acquire Wonder WallCare for ₹235 Crore to Boost Wall Putty Business

The acquisition includes a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant with a capacity of 600,000 metric tonnes per annum, located in Rajsamand-Nathdwara, Rajasthan. Constructed in 2022-23, this facility is among the largest single-location putty manufacturing sites in India and is strategically situated near high-quality raw material reserves and UltraTech’s existing putty manufacturing units in Rajasthan.

Strategic Implications

This acquisition aligns with UltraTech’s strategy to expand its value-added product offerings in the competitive and fragmented Indian wall putty market. The integration of Wonder WallCare’s advanced manufacturing capabilities is expected to enhance UltraTech’s ability to meet the growing demand driven by rapid urbanization and increased real estate construction across the country.

Transaction Timeline

The transaction is anticipated to close within approximately 90 days, pending the fulfillment of customary regulatory approvals and compliance requirements.

This strategic move underscores UltraTech Cement’s commitment to strengthening its position in the building solutions sector and contributing to India’s infrastructure and economic development.
