What Is a Balance of System (BOS) Contract?

To understand a BOS contract, think of installing a home theater system. The main items are the TV and speakers, but everything else—wiring, mounts, power setup, installation, and testing—is what makes the system actually work. In solar projects, BOS covers all these supporting elements that ensure the plant operates efficiently and reliably.
