VA TECH WABAG Limited announced on December 29, 2025, that it has won a large repeat EPC order from the Saudi Water Authority (SWA). The project involves setting up a technologically advanced Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (BWRO) plant in Aljouf, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, further strengthening WABAG’s presence in the Middle East water infrastructure market.

Comprehensive Project Scope
Under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model, WABAG will handle the entire project lifecycle. This includes design, detailed engineering, supply of equipment, construction, installation, and final commissioning of the water treatment facility.
Plant Capacity and Advanced Technology
The BWRO plant will have a treatment capacity of 50 Million Litres per Day (MLD). It will incorporate cutting-edge Ceramic Membrane technology for pre-treatment, followed by Micron Cartridge Filtration and Reverse Osmosis.
This robust treatment process is specially designed to handle raw water sourced from bore well fields that contain rare elements, ensuring high reliability and long-term operational stability for the region.
Order Size and Financial Classification
The contract has been categorized as a “Large” order, indicating a project value in the range of USD 30 million to USD 75 million, which is approximately ₹250 crore to ₹600 crore.
Execution Timeline
The project is expected to be completed within 14 months. The official commencement date will be announced once all contractual formalities are finalized.

The order has been awarded by an international authority and does not involve any interest from WABAG’s promoters or group companies. It is not a related party transaction and has been disclosed in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations.
