LTIMindtree Wins ₹3,000 Crore Insight 2.0 Project from CBDT

LTIMindtree Limited has secured a landmark government contract, further strengthening its position in large-scale digital transformation initiatives. On January 16, 2026, the company announced that it has been awarded the prestigious Insight 2.0 project by the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).

Transforming India’s Tax Analytics Ecosystem

The Insight 2.0 initiative is aimed at building an AI-powered, next-generation tax analytics platform for India. The project focuses on modernising the country’s existing tax data infrastructure by using advanced digital architecture, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.

Once implemented, the platform is expected to deliver real-time, data-driven insights to policymakers, enabling more informed decision-making, improved compliance monitoring, and greater efficiency in tax administration.

Contract Value and Tenure

The total value of the contract is estimated at ₹3,000 crore, making it one of the largest technology mandates awarded in the public sector space. The project comes with a long-term tenure of seven years, providing LTIMindtree with sustained revenue visibility over the contract period.

Strategic Importance for LTIMindtree

LTIMindtree, a part of the Larsen & Toubro Group, has won this mandate as part of its continued focus on AI-led digital transformation and large-scale system integration projects. The win reinforces the company’s leadership in delivering complex, mission-critical technology solutions for government and enterprise clients.

The Insight 2.0 project is also aligned with India’s broader push toward digital governance and the use of advanced analytics to strengthen public administration.

Regulatory Disclosure

The company has officially disclosed the award to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and BSE Limited, in line with regulatory requirements and transparency norms.
