RailTel Awards ₹890 Million Surveillance Project to Pace Digitek

Indian Railways is upgrading its security infrastructure, specifically for its LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches. RailTel has issued an “Advance Letter of Award” to Pace Digitek Limited to roll out a comprehensive, IP-based video surveillance system across the network.

The Scope of Work

This isn’t just a simple hardware delivery. Pace Digitek is responsible for the full lifecycle of the project—from supplying and installing the units to the final commissioning on behalf of RailTel’s customers.

Financials and Logistics

• Contract Value: The project is valued at approximately Rs. 890.69 Million (including GST).

• Timeline: It’s a fast-tracked deployment, with the entire system expected to be up and running within eight months of the award date.

Long-Term Maintenance

To keep the cameras rolling, the deal includes a solid support plan:

• A 3-year initial warranty period.

• A 5-year Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (CAMC) to follow, ensuring the tech doesn’t fall into disrepair after the initial setup.
