Bajel Projects Limited Secures Mega Order for EHV Substation in Mumbai

Bajel Projects Limited has announced a major milestone in its growth trajectory. On June 3, 2026, the company disclosed the acquisition of a “Mega” EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) order for an Extra High Voltage (EHV) substation.

This significant contract, awarded by a domestic Datacenter Client in Mumbai, underscores Bajel’s growing footprint in providing critical power infrastructure for high-growth sectors.

Project Scope and Impact

The project involves a comprehensive scope of work for a 400/220/33 KV GIS (Gas Insulated Substation) specifically designed for a Data Center. Bajel Projects Limited will be responsible for:

  • Design and Engineering
  • Procurement and Supply
  • Erection and Testing
  • Commissioning and Performance Testing

This all-encompassing EPC contract highlights the company’s ability to handle complex, end-to-end power solutions for specialized facilities.

Understanding the “Mega” Classification

In its disclosure, Bajel Projects Limited categorized this win as a “Mega Order.” According to the company’s internal project classification policy, a “Mega Order” represents a contract value ranging between Rs. 300 Crore and Rs. 400 Crore (inclusive of GST).

Timeline for Execution

The company is set to execute this massive project within a 24-month timeframe from the commencement date. This timeline reflects the intensive nature of constructing high-voltage GIS substations, which are known for their compact footprint and high reliability—perfectly suited for the urban landscape of Mumbai and the rigorous uptime requirements of a data center.

Commitment to Transparency

In compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, Bajel confirmed that none of its promoters or group companies have any interest in the entity that awarded the contract. Furthermore, the deal does not fall under the purview of related party transactions, ensuring a transparent and “arm’s length” business agreement.

This “Mega” win marks a powerful start to the month for Bajel Projects Limited, further solidifying its position as a key player in India’s EHV substation construction landscape.
