Asian Energy Services Limited (AESL) has marked a significant strategic milestone with the announcement of a substantial Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract. As detailed in a press release dated June 22, 2026, the company has secured an order worth Rs 187.62 Crores (including GST) from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL).This pivotal contract involves the crucial capacity enhancement of the Coal Handling Plant (Stage-II) at the Ukai Thermal Power Station in Gujarat. The project is structured on a lump-sum EPC basis, covering the full scope of end-to-end engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, with an estimated execution timeline spanning 2-3 years.

Crucially, this award represents AESL’s first major order outside its long-standing engagement with Coal India and its subsidiaries and associates. Dr. Kapil Garg, Managing Director of Asian Energy Services Limited, highlighted the importance of this new win, stating, “Asian Energy is delighted to have won this project… It expands our order book in the mineral infrastructure vertical and adds to our revenue visibility for the next 2 years. Working on this project reflects our successful efforts towards acquiring new customers for our service offerings.”

With a strong track record in developing coal handling systems for various Coal India subsidiaries and Singareni Collieries, AESL is now further reinforcing its leadership in the specialized mineral infrastructure sector. This new contract not only significantly strengthens its order book but also validates the company’s strategic initiatives to broaden its market reach and client base, positioning Asian Energy Services Limited for sustained growth and enhanced value creation.
