Digital Twin Triumph: Canarys Automations Secures INR 9.85 Crore Greater Noida Storm Water Management Contract

Urbanization, while bringing economic growth, often presents complex challenges, with storm water management and flooding topping the list for many rapidly developing regions. In a significant move set to tackle these issues head-on, Canarys Automations Limited has announced a major contract win, solidifying its position as a leader in climate-tech and intelligent infrastructure solutions.

The Bengaluru-based firm has secured a prestigious order from the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) for its Comprehensive Storm Water Management Programme (Phase A). Valued at an impressive **INR 9,84,88,645** (approximately 9.85 Crores), this 12-month engagement underscores Canarys’ expertise in leveraging cutting-edge technology for critical public infrastructure.

At the heart of this project is the development of a sophisticated Digital Twin for Greater Noida. Canarys will deploy an advanced suite of technologies, including:

  • **LiDAR-based surveys** for precise terrain and water body mapping.
  • **IoT and AI-based design studies** for intelligent flood prediction and resolution.
  • **Integrated 1D/2D hydraulic simulation models** to create a dynamic, real-time representation of the city’s storm water system.

This innovative approach aims to create a 25-year roadmap for GNIDA, allowing for proactive management of waterlogging and flooding in key industrial zones.

Mr. Srinivas Rao, AVP of Canarys, highlighted the project’s strategic importance, stating, “This selection is a major milestone for our team. Following our successful, high-profile Early flood warning and reservoir automation projects executed in Gorakhpur and Chennai, this new engagement demonstrates that our flood Decision Support solution can be seamlessly brought to India’s most critical economic hubs.” He further emphasized, “this consecutive string of unique wins establishes acceptability among major state and industrial authorities, proving our tech stack works at enterprise scale.”

This contract marks Canarys’ third significant win in the water resources management and climate-tech sector, cementing its reputation as a reliable and innovative solution provider. Investors will likely view this as strong validation of Canarys’ technological prowess and growing footprint in India’s smart city initiatives, setting the stage for future expansion in a crucial and expanding market.
