Radico Khaitan: Magic Moments Vodka Sales Surge 43% to 3.25 Million Cases, Reshaping India’s Premium Spirits Landscape

India’s dynamic spirits market is witnessing a vibrant transformation, with Radico Khaitan’s flagship brand, Magic Moments Vodka, leading the charge. The company recently announced an exceptional performance, selling an impressive 3.25 million cases in Q1 FY2027. This marks a remarkable 43% year-on-year growth from the 2.27 million cases sold in the same period last year, reinforcing Magic Moments’ sustained run rate of one million cases every month.

This landmark achievement solidifies Magic Moments’ position as India’s leading vodka brand and the world’s fifth-largest vodka brand, commanding an estimated 60% market share in the rapidly evolving Indian vodka category.

Key Growth Catalysts:

  • Premiumisation: Rising consumer preference for premium white spirits.
  • Flavour Innovation: Flavoured vodkas now account for over 65% of volume, attracting new demographics.
  • Evolving Cocktail Culture: Increased popularity of both in-home and professional cocktail making.
  • Changing Preferences: Younger, experimental consumers are embracing lighter spirits.

Abhishek Khaitan, Managing Director of Radico Khaitan, highlighted this “long-term structural shift,” attributing success to consistent investment in “flavour-led innovation, premiumisation, consumer engagement, and brand building.” He cited the “Flavours of India” range as a prime example of blending global trends with local insights.

Despite vodka’s substantial global share, its penetration in India remains below 5% of the IMFL market, signaling immense long-term growth potential. With Magic Moments at the forefront, Radico Khaitan is not merely capitalizing on this trend but actively shaping India’s burgeoning vodka culture, promising exciting developments for investors and the industry alike.
