RMC Switchgears Bags INR 23.6 Crore Mahavitran Contract, Powering Rural Maharashtra’s Green Future
RMC Switchgears Limited has secured a ₹23.64 crore order from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MAHAVITRAN), strengthening its presence in India’s renewable energy sector. The contract involves the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across multiple districts in Maharashtra.
The project supports the Government of India’s clean energy initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable irrigation and improving energy access for farmers.
Order Details
The order has been awarded under two major government schemes:
- Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana
- PM KUSUM-B Scheme
As part of the contract, RMC Switchgears will supply and install solar-powered water pumping systems with capacities of:
- 3 HP
- 5 HP
- 7.5 HP
These systems will be installed directly at designated farmer locations across Maharashtra, providing a reliable and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional electricity and diesel-powered irrigation pumps.
