Bajel Projects Bags Ultra Mega EPC Orders for 765kV and 400kV Power Infrastructure

Bajel Projects Limited, a subsidiary of Bajaj Electricals Limited, has secured multiple EPC contracts for power transmission lines and AIS substations in India. These contracts are categorized as “Ultra Mega” projects, each valued at ₹400 crore or more.

Key Orders Awarded:

  1. 765kV Transmission Line in Andhra Pradesh

    • Client: PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), on behalf of Kurnool-IV Power Transmission Limited

    • Scope: Construction of a 765kV double-circuit transmission line from Kurnool IV to Kurnool III PS

    • Purpose: Integration of Kurnool-IV Renewable Energy Zone Phase-I (4.5 GW)

    • Timeline: 23 months from the issuance of the Notification of Award

  2. 400kV Transmission Line and AIS Substation in Maharashtra

    • Client: Inergy Infra Private Limited, Pune

    • Scope: EPC contract for a 400kV transmission system and a new AIS substation

    • Purpose: Evacuation of power from a 550 MW solar-wind hybrid power plant in Beed, Maharashtra, owned by Torrent Solar Power Private Limited

    • Timeline: 12 months from the issuance of the Letter of Award.
