Lemon Tree Hotels Opens 12th Hotel in Gujarat with New Property in Bharuch

Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has announced the opening of Lemon Tree Hotel, Bharuch, strengthening its presence in Gujarat. The new property marks the company’s 12th operational hotel in the state, while the group has another 20 hotels in the pipeline across Gujarat, highlighting the company’s continued focus on expanding its hospitality network in the region. The hotel is managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.

Lemon Tree Hotel Bharuch Opens with 85 Rooms

The newly opened Lemon Tree Hotel, Bharuch features 85 well-appointed rooms and suites, compared with the 83 rooms previously disclosed to the stock exchanges in February 2023. The property includes Citrus Café, Lemon Tree’s multi-cuisine restaurant, along with banquet and meeting facilities designed for conferences, business meetings and social occasions. Guests can also access a fitness centre, Refresh recreation hub and Fresco spa.

Bharuch Strengthens Gujarat Network

Located along the Narmada River, Bharuch is an established commercial and industrial centre with connectivity to important business destinations including Ankleshwar, Dahej, Vadodara, Surat, Ahmedabad, Vapi and Valsad. The city also provides access to cultural and spiritual attractions such as Kabirvad and the Statue of Unity. According to Lemon Tree Hotels, the location provides opportunities to serve business, leisure, spiritual and transit travellers.

The company’s expanding network across Gujarat is aimed at creating a connected hospitality presence across major industrial and commercial routes. Lemon Tree Hotels said its growing footprint will allow it to serve business travellers as well as leisure and spiritual travellers moving across the state.

Hotel Positioned for Business and Leisure Travellers

The Bharuch property has been designed to cater to both business and leisure demand. Its rooms and suites offer a contemporary stay experience, while Citrus Café provides multi-cuisine dining options. The banquet and meeting facilities are intended to support corporate events, conferences and social functions. The fitness centre, recreation facilities and spa add further amenities for guests staying at the property.

Connectivity to Major Transport Hubs

The hotel is connected to major transportation facilities in the region. Surat Airport is approximately 75 km away, while Vadodara Airport is around 70 km away. Bharuch Railway Station and Bus Station are approximately 7 km from the hotel, providing connectivity for both business and leisure travellers.

Management Commentary

Commenting on the launch, Vishvapreet Singh Cheema, President, Lemon Tree Hotels, said the company’s Gujarat expansion is focused on offering a consistent hospitality experience across the state. He highlighted the company’s established presence in major economic centres such as Ahmedabad and Vadodara, along with its upcoming presence in Surat. According to the company, the Bharuch opening strengthens its regional network and supports its objective of building an interconnected hospitality footprint across key Gujarat markets.

Lemon Tree Hotels’ Expanding Portfolio

Lemon Tree Hotels Limited operates across multiple hospitality segments through seven brands — Aurika Hotels & Resorts, Lemon Tree Premier, Lemon Tree Hotels, Red Fox, Keys Prima, Keys Select and Keys Lite. The company caters to upper-upscale, upscale, upper-midscale, midscale, leisure, wildlife and spiritual segments.

The company currently operates 130+ hotels across 80+ cities in India and abroad, with a pipeline of 140+ upcoming properties. Its network covers major metropolitan markets such as Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad as well as tier-II and tier-III cities including Jaipur, Udaipur, Kochi and Indore. Gujarat Expansion Remains a Key Growth Focus

The opening of Lemon Tree Hotel, Bharuch adds another operational property to the company’s Gujarat network and takes its total operational presence in the state to 12 hotels. With 20 additional properties in the pipeline, Gujarat remains an important market for Lemon Tree Hotels’ expansion strategy. The company’s growing presence across commercial, industrial, leisure and spiritual destinations could help it build a broader regional network and capture demand from different categories of travellers.

Look at these points

Lemon Tree Hotels’ latest expansion in Bharuch strengthens its presence in one of Gujarat’s important industrial and commercial corridors. The new 85-room property adds capacity across business and leisure segments, while the company’s 20-property Gujarat pipeline indicates continued expansion in the state. The development also fits into Lemon Tree Hotels’ broader strategy of increasing its presence beyond major metropolitan markets and building a wider network across tier-II and tier-III cities.
