Tembo Global’s UAV Venture to Begin Manufacturing in 90 Days, Targets ₹100 Crore Revenue in First Year

Tembo Global Industries Limited (NSE: TEMBO) has taken a significant step into India’s fast-growing defence and aerospace manufacturing sector. The company announced that JR UAV Limited, its strategic joint venture with JR UAV Europe and JR PROPO Japan, will commence production of specialised Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) components at its Kashidkopar manufacturing facility within the next 90 days.

The production will support international orders secured by JR UAV Italy, positioning Tembo Global as an emerging supplier in the global UAV manufacturing ecosystem.

Kashidkopar Facility to Manufacture Precision UAV Components

The new Kashidkopar facility is being developed as a dedicated manufacturing hub for precision-engineered components used in unmanned aerial vehicle systems.

According to the company, production will begin within 90 days, with manufacturing already backed by confirmed orders received by JR UAV Italy. This provides immediate business visibility for the joint venture as it enters commercial operations.

The move represents Tembo Global’s entry into one of the fastest-growing segments of the global defence and aerospace industry.

Strategic Joint Venture Expands Global Presence

The manufacturing initiative will be undertaken through JR UAV Limited, a joint venture formed between:

  • Tembo Global Industries Limited
  • JR UAV Europe
  • JR PROPO Japan

By partnering with established international UAV technology companies, Tembo aims to combine global expertise with Indian manufacturing capabilities to serve overseas markets.

Strengthening India’s Defence Manufacturing Ecosystem

The company believes the Kashidkopar facility will play an important role in expanding its presence across the global UAV supply chain.

The project is expected to:

  • Manufacture specialised components for unmanned aerial systems
  • Strengthen Tembo’s international footprint
  • Support indigenous defence manufacturing
  • Expand India’s participation in global aerospace supply chains
  • Develop advanced precision engineering capabilities

The initiative also aligns with the Government of India’s “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” programmes, which encourage domestic manufacturing in strategic sectors such as defence and aerospace.

Revenue Target of ₹100 Crore in the First Year

Commenting on the development, Sanjay J. Patel, Managing Director of Tembo Global Industries, described the commencement of production as a major milestone in the company’s defence and aerospace journey.

He stated that the joint venture aims to generate at least ₹100 crore in revenue during its first year of operations.

According to the management, securing international manufacturing orders before production begins demonstrates the confidence global partners have in the company’s engineering expertise and manufacturing quality.
