Medi Assist Speeds Up Cashless Healthcare with AI, Over 50% of Hospital Pre-Authorisations Approved in Under Five Minutes

Medi Assist Healthcare Services Limited has announced significant upgrades to its AI-powered healthcare technology platform, helping patients gain faster access to cashless hospital treatment. The company revealed that more than 50% of hospital cashless pre-authorisations are now approved in under five minutes, reducing waiting time for patients and speeding up hospital admissions.

The announcement marks another step in Medi Assist’s mission to make cashless healthcare simpler, faster, and more accessible across India.

AI-Powered Platform Enhances Patient Experience

The latest technology upgrades include improvements to three key platforms:

  • MAven Intelligent Document Processing (MAven IDP)
  • MAgnum
  • MAven Guard

These solutions use artificial intelligence to automate document processing, improve claims management, increase transparency for hospitals, and strengthen fraud detection.

According to the company, these enhancements benefit patients, hospitals, and insurers by reducing paperwork and accelerating claim approvals.

Faster Cashless Hospital Admissions

One of the biggest highlights of the announcement is the speed of cashless claim approvals.

Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Medi Assist TPA, the company now processes over half of all cashless pre-authorisations in less than five minutes. This allows patients to begin treatment much sooner without lengthy approval delays.

The company also reported:

  • Net Promoter Score (NPS) improved to 67
  • More consistent claims processing
  • Over 60% reduction in calls from claimants, indicating a smoother customer experience

New AI Features Across the Healthcare Ecosystem

MAven IDP Accelerates Claims Processing

MAven IDP uses artificial intelligence to read and standardize hospital documents into structured clinical summaries. This enables claims teams to review cases faster and make quicker authorisation decisions.

The platform has now been expanded beyond the Medi Assist Group and will also be available to insurers and healthcare providers across the broader healthcare ecosystem.

MAgnum Brings Greater Transparency for Hospitals

The upgraded MAgnum platform allows hospitals to monitor claims in real time.

Hospitals can now instantly check:

  • Patient eligibility under Raksha Prime
  • Current claim status
  • Settlement progress
  • Payment updates

This helps reduce administrative queries while improving the cashless treatment experience.

MAven Guard Strengthens Fraud Detection

The latest version of MAven Guard enhances fraud, waste, and abuse detection with up to 50% greater precision.

By identifying suspicious claims more accurately, the platform helps insurers process genuine claims faster while protecting the healthcare ecosystem.

CEO Highlights Vision for Seamless Cashless Healthcare

Commenting on the launch, Satish Gidugu, CEO of Medi Assist Group, said the company’s goal is to make healthcare easier rather than more complicated.

He noted that Medi Assist first simplified the hospital discharge process through Raksha Prime and is now improving every stage of the cashless healthcare journey—from hospital admission and pre-authorisation to claims processing and fraud prevention.

According to the company, every technology upgrade is designed to remove delays between patients and the medical care they need.

Building the Future of Digital Healthcare

Medi Assist believes these AI-driven innovations will help create a healthcare ecosystem where:

  • Hospital admissions become faster
  • Cashless authorisations are almost instant
  • Claims are processed more efficiently
  • Fraud detection becomes more accurate
  • Patients enjoy a seamless healthcare experience

With AI playing a larger role in health insurance administration, the company is positioning itself to support insurers, hospitals, and policyholders with faster and smarter digital healthcare solutions.
