Patel Retail Limited Commissions New Curry Powder Line, Invests Rs 0.8 Cr

July 23, 2026: Patel Retail Limited has strengthened its manufacturing capabilities by commissioning a new Curry Powder Production Line at its production facility. The new unit commenced commercial operations on July 23, 2026, marking another milestone in the company’s strategy to expand its food products business and cater to rising demand in both domestic and international markets.

The newly installed production line adds a manufacturing capacity of 8 tons per shift, significantly enhancing the company’s ability to produce curry powder, one of the key products in its spices portfolio.

Manufacturing Capacity Receives Major Boost

The expansion has been undertaken to improve production efficiency while ensuring consistent product availability for customers. With increasing demand for packaged spices and food products, the additional capacity is expected to support Patel Retail’s future growth plans and strengthen its competitive position in the industry.

The company has invested approximately ₹80 lakh (₹0.8 crore) in the project, which has been fully funded through internal accruals, reflecting its healthy financial position and commitment to self-funded expansion.

Key Highlights of the Expansion

  • Product: Curry Powder
  • Industry Segment: Spices and Food Products
  • New Capacity: 8 tons per shift
  • Capital Investment: Approximately ₹80 lakh
  • Funding Source: Internal accruals
  • Commercial Production: July 23, 2026

Meeting Growing Demand in Domestic and Export Markets

The commissioning of the new production line comes at a time when demand for branded spices and ready-to-use food products continues to grow across India and overseas markets. By increasing production capacity, Patel Retail aims to improve supply reliability, enhance operational efficiency, and better serve its expanding customer base.

The additional capacity is also expected to provide greater flexibility in meeting bulk orders while supporting the company’s efforts to broaden its product offerings within the spices category.

Strengthening Long-Term Growth Strategy

The latest investment reflects Patel Retail Limited’s focus on scaling its manufacturing infrastructure through disciplined capital allocation. Financing the project entirely through internal resources demonstrates the company’s prudent financial management while avoiding additional debt.

As consumer demand for quality packaged food products continues to rise, the expanded production capacity positions Patel Retail to capitalize on emerging opportunities in both domestic and export markets.
