HBL Engineering Limited (formerly known as HBL Power Systems Limited) has been awarded two significant contracts for the implementation of the KAVACH system, totaling ₹499.68 crore. The letters of acceptance were issued to the HBL-Shivakriti International consortium, with HBL serving as the lead member.

Contract Details:

  1. Viramgam – Rajkot – Okha Section (Western Railway): This project, valued at ₹244.68 crore (including GST), involves the provision of the KAVACH system in the specified section of the Rajkot Division.

  2. Dholpur – Bina Section (North Central Railway): This contract, worth ₹255.00 crore (including GST), entails the implementation of the KAVACH system in the Jhansi Division.

These projects are part of Indian Railways’ ongoing efforts to enhance safety and efficiency through advanced signaling and train protection systems. The KAVACH system is designed to prevent train collisions and ensure passenger safety by providing real-time monitoring and control.
