Ceigall India to Infuse ₹61.93 Crore Into Bihar Highway Project SPV

Ceigall India Limited (CEIGALL) has approved a further investment of up to ₹61.93 crore in its project special purpose vehicle (SPV), Ceigall Sahebganj Bettiah Highway Limited, for the implementation of a major highway project in Bihar.
The company’s Management Committee approved the investment and related funding arrangements on September 25, 2026, according to an exchange filing.
₹61.93 Crore Equity Infusion
Ceigall India said it will infuse ₹61.93 crore into the project SPV through equity share capital, along with its wholly owned subsidiary Ceigall Infra Projects Private Limited (CIPPL).
The shareholding structure will be:
- Ceigall India Limited: 74%
- Ceigall Infra Projects Private Limited: 26%
The investment will be made in tranches, depending on the funding requirements of the project.
78.94-Km Bihar Highway Project
The funding is linked to a highway project awarded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
Ceigall Infra Projects Private Limited was identified as the selected bidder through an NHAI Letter of Award dated February 11, 2026.
The project involves the construction of a four-lane highway from Sahebganj to Areraj to Bettiah on NH-139W in Bihar, covering a total length of approximately 78.942 km.
The project is being developed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).
It comprises two sections:
- Sahebganj to Areraj: 38.362 km
- Areraj to Bettiah: 40.580 km
Term Loan Facility Also Approved
Along with the equity infusion, Ceigall India has approved the creation of security in connection with a rupee term loan facility sanctioned to the project SPV.
The term loan will be used for financing the highway project.
The company has also stated that it will provide loans, securities and guarantees to the project SPV as required for funding the project.
Project SPV Details
Ceigall Sahebganj Bettiah Highway Limited was incorporated on February 17, 2026, specifically for the infrastructure project.
The SPV has an authorised and paid-up share capital of ₹1 lakh, divided into 10,000 equity shares of ₹10 each.
Since the SPV is newly incorporated, there is no three-year operating revenue history available.
What This Means for Ceigall India
The latest announcement is primarily a project funding and execution update, rather than a fresh order win.
The underlying highway project was already awarded by NHAI in February 2026. The September 25 disclosure indicates that Ceigall is now arranging the capital and financing structure required to execute the project.
For investors tracking Ceigall India, the key factors to monitor will be the execution of the 78.94-km HAM project, subsequent funding requirements, debt financing and progress toward construction milestones.
The ₹61.93 crore equity commitment also provides visibility on the immediate equity contribution planned for the project SPV, although the filing does not state that ₹61.93 crore represents the company’s entire funding requirement for the project.
