Stock Market Today 10-September-2026

Today is Thursday, September 10, 2026, and the market setup is quite important because Nifty/Bank Nifty are facing a combination of high crude, Middle East risk, FII selling, and major global inflation/central-bank events.

Nifty today

Nifty 50 closed at 23,477.80, up 46.30 points (+0.20%). The session was volatile: the index was weak during regular trading but saw strong buying during the closing auction.

The broader market was less convincing, with midcaps and smallcaps slightly lower.

Key point: today’s Nifty rise does not yet look like a strong broad-based risk-on move. It was more of a selective buying/recovery session.

Bank Nifty

Bank Nifty was relatively supported by selective buying in financials, but the overall banking setup remains sensitive to:

  • US bond yields
  • Rupee movement
  • FII flows
  • Crude oil
  • Expectations around future Indian monetary policy

So I would treat Bank Nifty as range-bound/volatile rather than clearly bullish until global inflation and crude concerns settle.

Global markets

The global picture is currently cautious.

US

  • Dow Jones fell about 0.77%
  • S&P 500 fell about 0.48%
  • Nasdaq fell about 0.64% in the previous session.
  • US futures are around flat to slightly positive today.

Asia

  • Japan Nikkei: around +0.2%
  • South Korea KOSPI: around -0.25%
  • MSCI Asia-Pacific index: around -0.5%.

Europe
European markets are cautious ahead of the ECB decision.

Biggest problem: crude oil

This is probably the single most important factor for India today.

Brent crude has moved above $100/barrel, around $102, because of escalating Middle East tensions and disruption risks around the Strait of Hormuz.

For India:

Higher crude → higher import bill → weaker rupee → inflation pressure → potentially negative for equities.

That’s why even if Nifty gets buying support, sustained upside could be difficult while crude remains above $100.

Stock Up Today :

MOLBIO +19.99% — Strong quarterly results + momentum

Molbio Diagnostics is the clearest fundamentally supported move.

The company recently reported a major turnaround:

  • Total income around ₹411 crore
  • EBITDA of about ₹104 crore, compared with a loss in the year-ago period
  • PAT of about ₹53 crore, versus a loss previously
  • Continued growth in Truenat test-kit volumes

The stock is also newly listed, so strong results plus limited trading history and momentum have attracted aggressive buying.

MANINDS +10.91% —

For Man Industries (MANINDS)  Secures New Orders Worth ₹600 Crore; Unexecuted Order Book Rises to ₹4,100 Crore

Important events today

ESDS +10% — AI + Data Centre + IPO frenzy

This is currently one of the market’s hottest momentum stories.

ESDS Software Solutions is benefiting from massive investor enthusiasm around:

  • 🤖 Artificial Intelligence
  • ☁️ Cloud computing
  • 🏢 Data centres
  • 🇮🇳 India’s digital infrastructure growth

The IPO was extremely heavily subscribed, and the stock has continued its spectacular post-listing rally. Reports today described the rally as being driven by the AI infrastructure theme.

Reason: 🟢 AI/data-centre theme + blockbuster IPO + extreme momentum

ATHERENERG +4.96% — New scooter launch + improving financial performance

This one has a clear catalyst.

Ather Energy moved higher following:

  • Launch of the new Konarc scooter
  • Improvement in financial performance, including reduced net losses

Today’s market report specifically identified these developments as drivers of the stock’s rise.

Reason: New product launch + improving profitability

US — PPI inflation

The US Producer Price Index (PPI) is a major event today.

A hotter-than-expected PPI could mean:

Higher inflation → fewer Fed cuts / more hawkish Fed → US yields higher → pressure on equities → possible pressure on Nifty.

US CPI is scheduled for Friday, making today’s PPI particularly important.

ECB interest-rate decision

The European Central Bank is expected to raise rates today.

But the bigger issue isn’t simply the rate decision.

Markets will watch Christine Lagarde’s guidance for clues about future hikes because oil above $100 is creating renewed inflation pressure.

Germany

German inflation data is also on the radar, adding to the European inflation picture.

Japan

Markets are also watching Japan because expectations of further Bank of Japan tightening have increased as Japanese inflation remains close to the 2% target.
