Varroc Appoints Eric Hamon as Chief Technical Officer to Drive Next Phase of Automotive Innovation

Varroc Engineering Limited has announced the appointment of Eric Hamon as its new Chief Technical Officer (CTO), effective August 3, 2026. The appointment is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its global engineering capabilities and accelerate innovation in electrification, connected mobility, and software-defined vehicles.

Veteran Automotive Technology Leader Joins Varroc

Eric Hamon brings more than 25 years of global experience in the automotive technology industry. Throughout his career, he has led large engineering teams and worked on advanced technologies, including:

  • Electrification and electric powertrain systems
  • Electrical and electronic architectures
  • Software-defined vehicles (SDVs)
  • Connected vehicle technologies
  • Embedded software
  • Functional safety and cybersecurity

Before joining Varroc, Hamon served as Director – E Axle & System Platforms at Valeo E, where he was responsible for the global product strategy for eAxle platforms.

Key Responsibilities as CTO

As Chief Technical Officer, Eric Hamon will report to Arjun Jain, Whole-Time Director & CEO – Business I. He will lead Varroc’s global technology and engineering teams and focus on:

  • Developing the company’s technology strategy and innovation roadmap
  • Expanding products in electrification, electrical-electronics, and connected systems
  • Improving engineering processes and product development
  • Strengthening collaboration with global automotive customers and technology partners
  • Driving future-ready mobility solutions that are safe, smart, and sustainable
