The company recently announced that it has bagged a large-scale renewable energy contract, strengthening its position in India’s clean energy transition.

ACME Solar has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from SECI for setting up a 301 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project. The project is part of SECI’s FDRE Tranche VII program, which focuses on ensuring reliable renewable power supply by combining solar, wind, and energy storage technologies.

The total value of the order is approximately ₹1,900 crore, making it a significant addition to ACME Solar’s project portfolio.

Commercial and Operational Timeline

The project will be developed under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with key timelines including:

• Commercial Operation Deadline: Within 24 months from signing the PPA

• Project Tenure: 25 years from the date of PPA signing

This long-term agreement provides stable revenue visibility for the company and supports India’s renewable energy infrastructure expansion.

Tariff and Project Structure

The company will supply renewable power at a tariff of ₹6.28 per unit, ensuring predictable pricing for energy procurement. FDRE projects are especially important because they guarantee peak-hour renewable energy supply, which helps improve grid stability and reduces dependence on conventional power sources.

Strategic Importance for ACME Solar

This contract reinforces ACME Solar’s growing role in India’s renewable energy ecosystem. The order has been awarded in the ordinary course of business, and the counterparty, SECI, is a domestic government entity.
