ACME Solar Secures 300 MW Power Purchase Agreement

ACME Solar Holdings Limited has announced the execution of a significant Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). This agreement marks a major milestone in the company’s renewable energy expansion.

Project Highlights

  • Capacity: The PPA covers a contract capacity of 300 MW (1,200 MWh) for an Assured Peak Power Project.

  • Technology & Supply: This Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project is designed to provide 4 hours of assured peak power specifically during non-solar hours, with a minimum annual availability requirement of 85%.

  • Infrastructure: The project will be connected to Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) substations, utilizing the company’s existing night-time connectivity in high-irradiation zones.

  • Duration & Tariff: The project tenure is 25 years from the Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date (SCSD), which is set for May 28, 2028, at a tariff of Rs. 6.28 per unit.

Strategic Impact

This project, awarded under SECI’s FDRE Tranche-VII tender, further strengthens ACME Solar’s position in the integrated renewable energy sector. With this latest signing, the company’s PPA-signed portfolio has reached 6,570 MW out of a total contracted portfolio of 8,070 MW.
