BMW Ventures Bags ₹72.94 Crore Tata Projects Order for Adani Power Project

BMW Ventures Bags ₹72.94 Crore Tata Projects Order for Adani Power Project

BMW Ventures Ltd has secured two purchase orders worth ₹72.94 crore, including taxes, from Tata Projects Ltd for the supply of TMT steel for the 3×800 MW USCTPP-Adani Project.

The company disclosed the order win on September 16, 2026, through a stock exchange filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.

BMW Ventures Gets ₹72.94 Crore Tata Projects Order

According to the company, Tata Projects has placed two purchase orders for the supply of FE-550D grade TMT steel.

The combined value of the two orders is:

₹72,93,60,950, including all applicable taxes.

The orders are classified as domestic orders and are linked to the 3×800 MW USCTPP-Adani Project.

The company is required to execute and deliver the orders within eight weeks from the date of the purchase order.

100% Advance Payment

One of the notable commercial terms of the order is the 100% advance payment, including GST.

This means the order does not carry the same working-capital collection structure that would arise if payment were received only after delivery or on extended credit terms.

However, BMW Ventures has not disclosed the expected margin or profit contribution from these orders. Therefore, the ₹72.94 crore order value should not be directly treated as an equivalent increase in profit.

Another Tata Projects Order in August

The latest order is particularly relevant because BMW Ventures had already announced two purchase orders worth ₹24.98 crore from Tata Projects on August 25, 2026, also for FE-550D TMT steel for the same 3×800 MW USCTPP-Adani Project.

Including the latest announcement, the two sets of disclosed Tata Projects orders amount to approximately:

₹97.92 crore

This gives additional visibility to BMW Ventures’ steel-supply business from the project.

The two announcements should, however, be treated as separate purchase orders unless the company provides a consolidated contract or order-book figure.

What Is the USCTPP-Adani Project?

The order is linked to a 3×800 MW power project, making it part of a large-scale thermal power infrastructure requirement.

Adani Power has been progressing with several ultra-supercritical thermal power projects as part of its generation-capacity expansion programme. The company’s latest project update said its 1,320 MW Korba Phase-II project was expected to be commissioned during FY27, while several other ultra-supercritical projects were under execution.

For BMW Ventures, the order provides an opportunity to supply steel into this infrastructure and power-generation project ecosystem.

Order Execution Timeline

BMW Ventures has stated that the orders will be executed and delivered within eight weeks from the purchase-order date.

This relatively short execution period means investors will be able to monitor the company’s subsequent financial results for the revenue contribution from the order.

The company has not disclosed:

  • Separate value of each purchase order
  • TMT steel quantity
  • Expected gross or EBITDA margin
  • Exact revenue-recognition schedule
  • Profit contribution from the orders

These factors will determine the ultimate earnings impact.

No Related-Party Transaction

BMW Ventures has stated that:

  • Tata Projects is a domestic entity.
  • Promoter/promoter group companies have no interest in the awarding entity.
  • The transaction does not qualify as a related-party transaction.

The order is therefore a normal commercial supply arrangement according to the company’s disclosure.

BMW Ventures Order Book and Business Update

The latest order also adds to BMW Ventures’ project-related steel business.

The company operates across steel trading and distribution as well as fabricated steel products and other businesses. Its FY26 business included trading of iron and steel products, along with fabrication and other activities.

BMW Ventures has also been expanding its fabricated-steel business. In an earlier company release, it reported an order book of 8,805 tonnes for fabricated steel products after a ₹36 crore BHEL-related order, with management highlighting opportunities from infrastructure development and structural-steel demand.

The latest Tata Projects order is different from that fabricated-steel order book because it relates specifically to TMT steel supply.

Why This Order Matters for Investors

The key point is not only the ₹72.94 crore value of the latest order but also the repeated business from Tata Projects for the same large power-project requirement.

The August and September announcements together indicate nearly ₹98 crore of disclosed Tata Projects orders linked to the project.

Investors should watch whether BMW Ventures receives additional orders, how quickly these orders translate into revenue, and what margins the company earns on the steel supplies.

Bottom Line

BMW Ventures’ latest ₹72.94 crore Tata Projects order is a meaningful business update, particularly because the company had already secured another ₹24.98 crore order from Tata Projects for the same project in August.

The immediate focus will be on execution within eight weeks, revenue recognition, and margins. While the order improves near-term business visibility, the company has not disclosed the expected profitability from the contracts, so the final earnings impact cannot be determined from the announcement alone.
