Projects to Strengthen Ceigall India’s Arunachal Pradesh Presence
The new orders are focused on road infrastructure development in Arunachal Pradesh.
The Frontier Highway project is strategically important for connectivity in the northeastern region, particularly given the challenging terrain and infrastructure requirements of the area.
For Ceigall India, the contracts provide an opportunity to expand its presence in major highway construction projects while adding a sizeable EPC order pipeline.
Construction and Maintenance Commitments
The projects have varying construction timelines.
Three of the four projects have a 36-month construction period, while the third project has a 48-month construction period.
All four projects include a five-year maintenance period.
This means the contracts will provide Ceigall India and its joint venture partner with long-term involvement beyond the initial construction phase.
Domestic EPC Contracts
All four contracts are domestic projects awarded by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
The contracts are based on the EPC model, under which the contractor is responsible for engineering, procurement and construction activities associated with the project.
The company has confirmed that the contracts are not related-party transactions and that neither the promoter/promoter group nor group companies have any interest in the awarding entity.
Why the Orders Matter for Ceigall India
The ₹2,149.62 crore order win is significant for Ceigall India because it adds a substantial set of highway projects to its execution pipeline.
The contracts also provide visibility over construction activity for the next several years.
The company’s 74% share in the joint venture gives it a majority position in the projects while allowing it to execute the contracts alongside Sushee Infra Mining Limited.
The order win comes at a time when infrastructure development and highway construction remain important areas of government spending.
