Ceigall India Wins Key Rs. 1,700 Crore Solar-BESS Contract, Bolstering Renewable Portfolio

In a significant development for India’s burgeoning renewable energy sector, Ceigall India Limited has announced a substantial win, bagging a pivotal contract worth approximately Rs. 1,700 Crores. This landmark project, focused on integrated Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), underscores Ceigall’s expanding footprint in the green energy landscape and its strategic alignment with the nation’s ambitious sustainability goals.

The contract, secured through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) executed between Ceigall Morena Solar BESS Park Limited and Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited on June 29, 2026, positions Ceigall at the forefront of hybrid renewable solutions. The inclusion of BESS is particularly noteworthy, addressing the critical challenge of intermittency often associated with solar power. This innovative hybrid approach ensures a more reliable and consistent energy supply, a vital component for grid stability and energy security as India transitions to a cleaner energy mix.

For Ceigall India, this isn’t just another project; it’s a testament to its growing capabilities in executing complex renewable infrastructure. The long-term nature of the agreement, promising a 25-year operational period coupled with its significant financial value, promises stable revenue streams and enhanced market visibility. Investors and industry observers will undoubtedly be watching closely as Ceigall solidifies its role in shaping India’s future energy landscape.

Project Highlights:

  • Project Value: Approximately Rs. 1,700 Crores (including GST)
  • Technology: Tariff-based Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Partner: Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited
  • Tariff Quoted: Rs. 2.70/kWh
  • Construction Period: 18 Months
  • Operational Period: 25 Years

This strategic win not only bolsters Ceigall’s order book but also reinforces its commitment to sustainable infrastructure development, paving the way for a greener, more resilient energy future for India.
