Dilip Buildcon Secures ₹3,400 Crore Ganga Path Road Project in Bihar

Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) has received a major infrastructure order after being awarded a Letter of Award (LoA) on December 26, 2025 for the construction of the Ganga Path road project in Bihar. The company disclosed the development to both BSE and NSE as per regulatory requirements.

Project Overview

The project involves the construction of Ganga Path, a key road corridor connecting Sultanganj, Bhagalpur, and Sabour Road. This infrastructure project is expected to significantly improve regional connectivity and support economic growth in the state.

Who Awarded the Project?

The contract has been awarded by Adani Road Transport Limited (ARTL) on a back-to-back basis. However, the ultimate project authority and employer is the Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited (BSRDCL).

In a back-to-back arrangement, the main concessionaire passes the project to an experienced EPC contractor under similar terms and conditions, ensuring smooth and timely execution.

Key Details of the Order

  • Project Cost: ₹3,400 crore (excluding GST)

  • Execution Mode: EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction)

  • Project Length: 41.090 km

  • Scope of Work: Complete design, engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning

  • Completion Timeline: 42 months from the date of commencement

Regulatory Disclosure and Compliance

The company made the announcement in line with Regulation 30 of SEBI’s LODR Regulations, 2015. Dilip Buildcon clarified that neither its promoters nor group companies have any interest in Adani Road Transport Limited, and the order does not qualify as a related-party transaction.

Following the disclosure of the LoA, the trading window for dealing in Dilip Buildcon securities was closed for insiders and designated persons for a period of 48 hours, in line with insider trading regulations.

Understanding the Back-to-Back EPC Model

To simplify, a back-to-back EPC project works like a relay race. The main project holder—here, Adani Road Transport Limited—receives the project from the government authority and then passes it to a specialist contractor like Dilip Buildcon to execute the entire work under the same conditions.
