Godrej Properties Opens 24-Metre Government Road Linking Sector 49 to SPR in Gurugram
Godrej Properties Limited (GPL) has announced the opening of a new 24-metre-wide government road near Godrej Aristocrat in Gurugram, strengthening connectivity between Sector 49 and the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) corridor.
The road has been constructed by Godrej Properties in collaboration with the Haryana government on land that had already been acquired by the government.
The new road is now open for public use.
New Road Strengthens Sector 49–SPR Connectivity
The newly opened road creates an additional connection between Sector 49 and the Southern Peripheral Road, improving movement within the surrounding residential neighbourhoods.
According to Godrej Properties, the road is expected to improve last-mile connectivity and provide residents with more direct access to the SPR corridor.
The improved connectivity also provides access to nearby social infrastructure and landmarks, including DAV Public School and Sai Mandir.
Godrej Aristocrat Gets Improved Connectivity
One of the key developments for Godrej Properties is the improved accessibility to its Godrej Aristocrat project.
The new road provides direct connectivity from Golf Course Extension Road, potentially improving access to key destinations across Gurugram and the wider Delhi-NCR region.
For the surrounding residential micro-market, better road connectivity can support easier commuting and improve accessibility to existing and upcoming residential communities.
However, the company has not disclosed any specific increase in property prices, bookings, sales or revenue attributable to the new road.
Collaboration With Haryana Government
The road forms part of the Haryana government’s planned road network.
Godrej Properties constructed the road in collaboration with the government, with the project being developed on government-acquired land and with prior approval from the authorities.
The road was inaugurated by Rao Narbir Singh, Haryana Minister for Industries & Commerce, Environment, Foreign Cooperation and Sainik Welfare, in the presence of representatives from Godrej Properties and other stakeholders.
Management Commentary
Geetika Trehan, CEO – North Zone, Godrej Properties, said the company believes in contributing to the surrounding urban infrastructure ecosystem in addition to developing residential projects.
She said the new 24-metre-wide government road is intended to improve accessibility for residents, strengthen connections to major transit corridors and improve mobility within the neighbourhood.
According to the company, the initiative is also aimed at supporting better-connected residential communities as the surrounding area continues to develop.
Potential Impact on Gurugram Micro-Market
Sector 49 and the surrounding areas are developing into an important residential catchment in Gurugram.
The additional road link could improve connectivity between residential communities and major road corridors, potentially making the surrounding micro-market more accessible.
For Godrej Properties, the development is particularly relevant because of its proximity to Godrej Aristocrat and the company’s presence in the Gurugram residential market.
The broader impact will depend on how the area’s infrastructure and residential development evolve.
What Investors Should Watch
The road opening itself does not represent a disclosed order win or direct revenue-generating contract for Godrej Properties.
Investors may instead track whether improved connectivity translates into measurable operating indicators, including:
- Sales and booking momentum at Godrej Aristocrat
- Pricing and demand trends in the surrounding Gurugram micro-market
- New project launches in the region
- Collections and cash flows
- Project construction progress
- Land acquisition and development activity
- Overall residential sales value generated by Godrej Properties
Investor Takeaway

The infrastructure project improves accessibility for several residential communities and strengthens connectivity around Godrej Aristocrat, including access from Golf Course Extension Road.
While the development is relevant from a location and infrastructure perspective, the company has not disclosed a direct financial benefit, incremental sales figure, or revenue contribution from the road.
