Juniper Green Energy Wins 230 MW FDRE Round-the-Clock Renewable Energy Project from SECI

Juniper Green Energy Limited has received a Letter of Award (LOA) from Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 230 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) Round-the-Clock (RTC) power project.

The company disclosed the development in a regulatory filing dated August 15, 2026, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations.

230 MW FDRE-RTC Project Awarded by SECI

According to the company, SECI issued the Letter of Award dated August 14, 2026, awarding Juniper Green Energy a contracted capacity of 230 MW for an FDRE Round-the-Clock renewable energy project.

The project will be connected to India’s Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) and will involve the construction, commissioning and operation of the renewable energy project.

The award follows the company’s earlier intimation dated August 7, 2026.

Project Tariff Fixed at ₹5.26 Per Unit

The project has been awarded at a tariff of ₹5.26 per unit.

The contracted capacity is 230 MW, with the project designed to provide firm and dispatchable renewable power on a round-the-clock basis.

Unlike conventional renewable power projects that are dependent on solar or wind generation conditions, FDRE projects are structured to provide more reliable and dispatchable renewable electricity.

24-Month Execution Timeline

Juniper Green Energy stated that the Scheduled Commercial Operation Date (SCOD) is within 24 months from the effective date of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to be signed with SECI.

The PPA will have a 25-year term from the commercial operations date.

This provides the company with a long-term contracted revenue framework once the project becomes operational.

Construction, Commissioning and Operations

The scope of the award covers:

  • Construction of the 230 MW FDRE-RTC project
  • Commissioning of the project
  • Operation of the project
  • Connection to the Inter-State Transmission System

The project is classified as a domestic order, with SECI being the awarding entity.

Why the Order Matters for Juniper Green Energy

The 230 MW award strengthens Juniper Green Energy’s renewable energy project pipeline and increases its exposure to the growing FDRE and round-the-clock renewable power segment.

India’s power system is increasingly looking for renewable projects capable of providing more predictable and reliable electricity. FDRE projects can play an important role in addressing the intermittency associated with standalone solar and wind generation.

For Juniper Green Energy, the new award therefore represents an opportunity to expand its contracted renewable energy portfolio while building a long-term project with a 25-year PPA framework.

Financial Impact Will Depend on Project Execution

The company has disclosed the project capacity and tariff but has not provided a specific order value or expected profit contribution in the regulatory announcement.

The ultimate financial impact will depend on factors such as project development costs, financing costs, construction timelines, generation performance and operating expenses.

Investors should therefore distinguish between the contracted project capacity and tariff and the company’s eventual revenue and profitability from the project.

No Promoter or Related Party Interest

Juniper Green Energy stated that the promoter, promoter group and group companies have no interest in SECI in connection with the award.

The company also confirmed that the contract does not fall under related-party transactions.
